TOEIC

The TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) is a test designed to assess the English proficiency of aspiring professionals who wish to work in an international workplace.

SEIHA TOEIC is a very intensive program focusing on all the skills you need; speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Building on previously existing skills, students receive intensive practice, training and unlimited test resources. They also develop effective examination techniques as well as improve vocabulary and grammar. After the course, students are expected to achieve TOEIC target scores while gaining a solid understanding of the English language.

Course Content

  • Vocabulary Building (Commonly used on the TOIEC L&R Test)
  • Grammar (Grammatical structure based on topical theme such as travelling, shopping, etc.)
  • Tactics (Listening and reading tactics and strategies for different parts of the TOIEC L&R Test
  • Skill Building Exercises (Vocabulary, grammar, listening, and reading exercises that provied various types of questions likely to be used on the test)
  • TOEIC Practice Test and Mock Test (Practice questions for all seven parts of the TOEIC L&R Test)

TOEIC Part 1 and 2 Group Part 1- Photographs Tackles picture description with emphasis on tenses of the verb. Four short statements regarding a photograph will be spoken only one time.

Part 2 - Question-ResponseListen to a variety of questions and short conversations recorded in English. There are three responses to one question or statement and will be spoken only one time.
TOEIC Part 7 Group Part 7 - Reading ComprehensionTackles not only single-passage questions but also multiple-passage questions wherein students read and compare the two or more related passages, such as an e-mail correspondence.
Students are expected to learn about specific details and implied details in a text. Paired passages will focus on how to make connections between the two related texts.
TOEIC Part 3 and 4 1:1 Part 3 - Conversation Students will listen to a conversation with three questions for each conversation. Typical questions include “who”, “what”, “where”, “when”, “why”, and “how”.

Part 4 - Short Talks Focus on short talks such as announcements or narrations, radio advertisement, or a telephone recording and is spoken only one time.
TOEIC Part 5 and 6 1:1 Part 5 - Incomplete Sentences This Involves four choices to complete a sentence with emphasis on vocabulary and grammar.

Part 6 - Text Completion Students focus on reading four passages of text such as an article, a letter, a form and an e-mail. This highlights context clues and emphasize scanning and skimming skills.
